Last week, we had one of our most fun Girl Scout Brownie meetings ever! As a part of earning our "Pets" Badge, we visited a really awesome local store, Aquatic Critter!
Now, as you can see, Aquatic Critter is not your mainstream pet store! They have fish of all kinds, both salt and freshwater. They also have a section where they sell more exotic pets-bearded dragons, many varieties of snakes and spiders, frogs and other amphibians.
Aquatic Critter even has a really cool habitat in the front of their store where "" the Crocodile lives. We were blessed enough to have one of the valued Aquatic Critter employees, Mike, to give us a few lessons on
daily routine, behavior and eating habits. Mike had a few incredible stories about this "pet" to share with the troop as well!
Mike was also kind enough to allow our troop to visit with a few of the snakes at Aquatic Critter. I couldn't have been more surprised when not only a few girls and their siblings from the troop, but my own daughter Mary-Caroline held one of the snakes!
